| Robert Crooks | This template creates a fairly basic page that is overwrought with JavaScripts and Styles. The scripts and styles do the following: 1) automatically calculate links for "previous," "next," and "contents" pages, provided pages in the directory are named in a regularly numbered way; 2) highlight these links (in IE4 only) when the mouse passes over them; 3) detect the browser type and version, and write a link to one of three style sheets depending on whether the user has IE3, IE4, or Netscape4; 4) generate the "date last modified" for the page and write it in a nice way; 5) generate and display the URL for the page. Users will probably need to make some minor modifications to suit their own tastes and conditions on their web sites. Explanatory HTML and JavaScript comments are provided in the template. | ||
